Fruit Markets In Tamarindo

Tamarindo is an interracial crowd for that reason, its accommodation and dining options are diverse. Tamarindo fruit and nutrition fills ones pallet like no other. Costa Rican fruits, oh glorious fruit, deserved a bit of extra mention. Because our fruit is on a whole other level. Costa Rican fruits are exotic, delicious and colourful!

You will find many hidden gems in Tamarindo offering nutrition to accommodate all lifestyles especially organic fruits, of course this comes to no surprise. We are going to touch on some of Tamarindo’s fruits and nutrition we think everyone must try while in town.

Farmers markets are called “Ferias” in Costa Rica, and most towns in the country have one at least once per week. There are many in the Tamarindo area:

La Paz Feria (La Paz Farmers’ Market)

Check out the farmers market at La Paz Community School, now every Wednesday at 3pm under the big Guanacaste tree at La Paz’s south campus (on the road between Playa Brasilito and Playa Flamingo).

Tamarindo Farmer’s Market

The town of Tamarindo hosts a similar fresh food and farmers market on Saturday mornings from 8am-1pm. Here you’ll find most of the same goods and vendors as you will at the La Paz market. They operate right by the beach, in front of the Alfaro bus station and next to El Pescador restaurant.

Villareal Farmer’s Market

Villareal’s fresh food and farmer’s market is held on Fridays, usually from about  8am to 7pm. The main focus here is on fresh fruit and vegetables, with less emphasis on baked goods and artisanal crafts.

It’s located on the perimeter of the town’s soccer field, where you’ll see trucks and food bins under tents set up. You can’t miss it. This market usually offers the best deals in terms of fruits and veggies.

 Portrero Farmers’ Market

Portero also has a fresh food market, which is held on Thursdays from  10am — 3pm in the town’s common area.

 Witches Rock Lifeguard Farmers’ Market

This one is relatively new, and held each Sunday from 10am — 2pm at Witches Rock Surf Camp in downtown Tamarindo.

  Tama Market

Shop for various local natural goods at a reasonable price at Tama Market. As you walk through the colourful market stalls, you'll learn about the culture and crafts of the area from the friendly vendors. Tamarindo Beach Next to Green Papaya Restaurant And Behind Oneida Park, Tamarindo 50309 Costa Rica, Saturday’s from 8am-2pm.

The Markets not only offers a diversity of products to the people who live in the community, but also allows domestic and international visitors to learn more about the culture and diversity of Tamarindo.

Saturday mornings are a buzz in Tamarindo, Costa Rica. Right next to Plaza Tamarindo in the centre of town, you will find the locals and tourists alike buying produce and local goods at the weekly Tamarindo Farmer's Market, the social hub of the community.

The Tamarindo Farmers Market is only one of the great events that promote community involvement and the local economy. This is just one of the many reasons why Tamarindo is both a great spot to visit and to live…
